Pre-Kindergarten
Pre-K Enrollment will take place on April 25th for the 2024-2025 school year. Click here for more information.
Lone Oak ISD educates eligible 4-year-olds in full day Pre-Kindergarten.
Each spring, Lone Oak ISD hosts Pre-Kindergarten Roundup to register students entering pre-kindergarten the following school year. To attend pre-kindergarten, students must be four years of age or older on or before September 1.
This early registration process gives parents information to ease the transition into pre-kindergarten and assists the District in planning for enrollment growth and staffing needs. Please take advantage of this opportunity to register your child!
To determine eligibility, refer to the criteria below.

- Certified Copy of Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card
- Immunization Records
- Proof of Residency
- Driver's License of Enrolling Parent
- Pre-Kindergarten documentation can be found here.

Online Enrollment Form
To begin the online enrollment process, first create an account with Ascender Parent Portal once. You will then be prompted to enter basic information regarding your child.
Remember your user name, email address, and password associated with your parent portal account as you must register your child at the beginning of every school year. As a security measure, parents must use the same login information and email in future years to sign in if they previously set up an account.
For additional information on how to complete this process, open the Parent Portal Guide and follow the steps.
Finalize the Enrollment Process
The enrollment is not complete until the documentation is reviewed and processed by District staff. Lone ISD will process new student registration in the order in which online submissions were received. You will receive an email with instructions following your enrollment.

Student Transfer Request
Transfers for the 2024-2025 school year are now closed.
Lone Oak ISD maintains a transfer policy under FDA (Local) requiring non-resident students wishing to transfer to file a transfer application each school year. The following items are considered when evaluating any request:
-
Availability of space and instructional staff
-
Availability of programs and services
-
The student’s disciplinary history records, work habits, and attendance records
Transfer students are expected to follow the attendance requirements, rules and regulations of the District.
State and Local Guidelines
TEC 25.036 has been interpreted to establish the acceptance of a transfer as a one-year commitment by the District. The District is seeking to eliminate the provision of a one-year commitment in accepting transfer applicants. On rare occasions, student behavior warrants suspension (in or out of school), placement in a disciplinary alternative program, or expulsion. In addition, student attendance may fall below the TEA truancy standard. In these rare cases, Lone Oak ISD seeks exemption from the one-year transfer commitment.
Local Guidelines
Non-resident students who have been accepted as inter-district transfers may have such transfer status revoked by the Superintendent at any time during the year if the student is assigned discipline consequences of suspension (in or out of school), placement in a disciplinary alternative program, or expulsion. In addition, students not meeting the state’s 90% attendance standard may also be subject to immediate revocation of the transfer status.
