Pre-K Enrollment for the 2025-2026 School Year

Pre-K Enrollment for the 2025-2026 School Year
Lone Oak ISD is excited to welcome our newest Buffaloes! If you have a child who will be 4 years old by September 1, 2025, they may be eligible for our Pre-K program. Pre-K enrollment will take place on April 25 from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM in the Lone Oak Elementary Library.

This early registration process helps ease the transition into school while also allowing the district to plan for class sizes and staffing needs.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for free Pre-K, children must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Unable to speak and comprehend English (language testing required).
  • Eligible for free or reduced lunch based on household income.
  • Homeless, as defined by federal law.
  • Child of an active-duty military member or a member injured/killed in active duty.
  • In the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services (foster care).
  • Child of a recipient of the Star of Texas Award (peace officer, firefighter, or EMT).

Lone Oak ISD does offer tuition-based Pre-K for families who do not meet these eligibility requirements. An interest form will be made available at a later date on the Enrollment page on our website. Space is limited, and tuition-based spots will be offered based on a first-come, first-served basis.
